Eternity
What is our take on eternity? How do we think about it? Is it something that we long for? Take for granted? How can we be assured that we will make it to the point where we can be in eternity?
Lights in the Darkness
The world is in darkness. It is held captive by Satan and his demons. It rejects Jesus Christ, as it loves the darkness more than the light. Christ wants to free us from darkness, so that we can become children of light. How, exactly, does this occur, and what does this mean for us?
Not Searched For, But Still Found
Motives
The Power of Truth
Truth finds little more place in our day than it did when Jesus
first appeared. When it comes to understanding who Jesus Christ is and His role
over mankind, deceptive teachings blind this world from the truth. Still, truth
is the unquenchable power of God, and we who have been called must keep the true
knowledge revealed to us.
Josiah-A Righteous King of Judah
Following David and Solomon, most kings of Israel and Judah were evil in the sight of God. Not one king from the house of Israel lived up to God’s standards, and only very few kings from the house of Judah did. One shining example was righteous King Josiah, and it is worthwhile to study his life for encouragement and inspiration. Josiah abandoned pagan worship and restored the true worship of God. He was willing to obey God, but his life ended prematurely due to a wrong decision.
Self
What is the single thing that you have more control over than anyone else? What do you need to do to wield that power with strength, integrity, virtue, righteousness, and responsibility? To become truly fulfilled, we must all master control over our own identity and behavior in ways that serve God first.
This Generation
Jesus condemned His generation, especially the religious leaders, for their lack of understanding–for things they should have paid attention to instead of seeking miraculous signs! Will we be watching and ready for the appearance of the Kingdom of God–in this, our generation?
Constant vs. Change
When we look at our lives we see the flux of things that change vs. things that stay the same. God is a God of constants. He does not change from one day to the next. We can have confidence if we search out how God wants us to live in this world of change.
