Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

Our new member letter for April was posted on the Web and sent out this week. In the letter, Rene Messier addresses the need to stay focused.

A new StandingWatch program was posted today on the Web and www.standingwatch.org. It is titled, “What Is Prophesied for Syria?” Violence is erupting in Syria. Does the Bible tell us anything about the past and future of Syria and its capitol, Damascus?

Another StandingWatch program was posted last week on the Web and www.standingwatch.org. It is titled, “The British Wedding—A Critical Look.” Is the wedding of William and Kate an aberration of history and a sad spectacle, as Der Spiegel says? Are the royal families of the world a terrible example, as The Local postulates? Does the wedding detract from the fact that Great Britain is going down-partly because of family breakdown and a lack of commitment towards marriage, as the Daily Mail reports? God tells us clearly what is right and wrong, and the royals have not set a proper example in this regard.

A new German AufPostenStehen program was posted on the Web and www.aufpostenstehen.de.  It is titled, “Der Justizmord an Jesus” (“The judicial murder of Jesus”).

Several new German video-recorded sermons were posted this week on the Web, titled, “Erloese Uns Von dem Boesen” (“Deliver Us From Evil”); “Gottes Jaehrliche Festtage” (“God’s annual Holy Days”) ; “Wuerdig Leben” (“Live worthily”); “Christi Kreuzigung und Auferstehung” (“Christ’s Crucifixion and Resurrection”); and “Fuehre Uns Nicht in Versuchung” (“Don’t Lead Us Into Temptation”).

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

A member letter for April is being completed and will be sent out shortly.

Several German video sermons, which were recorded in Germany, are being posted on the Web, including messages on living worthily, the time of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection, our Christian duty to observe God’s annual Holy Days, and the need to pray to God for protection from evil.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

Reports from England, Germany, Oregon, California and Colorado concerning the observance of Passover and the First Day of Unleavened Bread were received, and the news was very positive. Further details, especially concerning the visit by Norbert and Johanna Link and family to Germany, will be given following the Days of Unleavened Bread.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

A new StandingWatch program was posted on the Web, titled, “How Did Christ Really Die?”

Did Jesus die of a broken heart or exhaustion? Does the Bible explain HOW Christ died on the cross? The Holy Scriptures tell us that He died by shedding His blood, and that He was pierced through for our transgressions. HOW was He pierced through? The answer might surprise you.

A new German AufPostenStehen program was posted on the Web, titled “Wie Starb Christus Wirklich?” (“How Did Christ Really Die?”).

During the coming Spring Festival period, several of the ministers are traveling to meet with brethren: Norbert and Johanna Link (and extended family) are in Germany; Rene and Delia Messier will be in Oregon; and Wray and Jule Zehrung (and family) will be in Ramona, California. Your prayers for their safety and for all of God’s people who will be meeting together to observe these times will be greatly appreciated.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

A new StandingWatch program was posted on the Web, titled, “Could Jesus Return Tonight?” A strong minority of Americans believes that we are living in the End Times, while 52 percent disagree. Some believe and teach that Jesus could come back tonight, while others say that He won’t return at all. What does the Bible tell us?

A new German sermon was posted on the Web, titled, “Das Opfer Jesu Christi” (“The Sacrifice of Jesus Christ”).

Our new German booklet, “Jesus Christus—Ein Grosses Geheimnis” (“Jesus Christ—A Great Mystery”), was posted on the Web.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

A new member letter was sent out this week, covering our annual conference and the pre-Passover season in which we are living. The letter also makes reference to the recent ordination of Mr. Eric Rank as an Elder, and the imminent travel of Mr. and Mrs. Link and their entire family to Germany in order to observe the Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread with the German brethren. The letter includes a renewal card for the USA, and everyone on our mailing list in the USA is requested to fill out and return the card to us, to ensure continuing and uninterrupted service.

New information regarding our Feast sites for 2011 in California and North Wales has been posted on our US and UK Web sites.

A new StandingWatch program was placed on the Internet, titled, “The Future of Libya.”

In the program, the following is discussed: Why are we fighting against Libya? What do we hope to achieve? Who should lead? The USA does not want to, but it does not like France to lead, either. The Arab world and Turkey are opposed to air strikes; Germany won’t participate at all; NATO is taking a confusing position; and France’s role is becoming more and more problematic. In light of this confusion, what does the Bible say about the role that Libya will play in the not-too-distant future?

A new German AufPostenStehen program was placed on the Internet, titled, “Libyen in der Prophezeiung” (“Libya in Prophecy”).

A new German sermon has been posted on the Internet.  It is titled, “Wie Nahe Ist Ihnen Gott?” (“How Close Is God To You?”)

Due to the annual conference, there will be no Update for the week ending March 25. The next Update will be published for the week ending April 1.

Our annual conference will begin on Friday, March 18, and is scheduled to last until Wednesday, March 23. Please pray for God’s inspiration and guidance for the success of the conference.

The German translation of our booklet, “Jesus Christ—a Great Mystery,” was sent to our Graphic Designer for finalization.

Two new StandingWatch programs were posted on the Web, titled, “Earthquakes in Prophecy, Part 1” and “Earthquakes in Prophecy, Part 2.”  The summaries of these programs are, respectively:

The terrible earthquake in Japan and the subsequent tsunamis should remind us of Christ’s warning in the Olivet prophecy that great earthquakes will strike this earth prior to His return. But He also spoke of religious deception, wars, famines, disease epidemics, the Great Tribulation and the heavenly signs. It is important to know the prophesied sequence of these events, leading to His Second Coming.

The Bible predicts that much greater earthquakes than the one in Japan will soon strike this earth. The books of Revelation and Isaiah give us many details as to what will happen, and why. Even Jerusalem will be hit by a huge earthquake, and so will be many other cities.

A new German AufPostenStehen program was posted on the Web, titled, “Erdbeben in Biblischer Prophezeiung” (“Earthquakes in Biblical Prophecy”).

Norbert Link’s new video-recorded sermon was posted on the Web, titled, “Paul’s Letter to the Philippians (Part 4).”

A new German sermon was posted on the Web, titled, “Im Anfang, Teil 5” (“In the Beginning, Part 5”).

REMINDER: Our annual conference will be held this year in California, beginning on March 18. Please pray for God’s inspiration and guidance for the successful preparation of the conference.

A new StandingWatch program was posted on the Web, titled, “When Will Russia Attack Israel?” Pat Robertson stated in an interview with Newsmax that, according to Ezekiel 38, a coalition of nations such as Russia and Iran will rise up against Israel in a final battle. But what DOES Ezekiel 38 prophesy? Who are those nations listed there which will try to war against “Israel”? When will this attack take place, and who, precisely, is “Israel”? Don’t be too sure that you know the answers!

A new German sermon was posted on the Web discussing the fact that Adam and Eve were not ashamed when they were created naked; addressing the question where the idea that marriage is inferior to celibacy comes from; and explaining the tree of life, being symbolic for the Holy Spirit and living water. The title is, “Im Anfang… Teil 4” (“In the Beginning…,  Part 4.”).

A new StandingWatch program was posted on the Web, titled, “Libya in Prophecy.” What is in store for Libya? How are we to evaluate the reaction—or lack thereof—of the Western powers, especially Europe and the USA? And why are some of the comments and suggestions in German papers truly amazing, in the light of biblical prophecy? What does the Bible say is soon going to happen in the Middle East?

A new German sermon was posted on the Web, covering Genesis 1:26 to 2:3, including the fact that man was created according to the image and likeness of God, and that the Sabbath is still in force and effect today. The title is: “Im Anfang…, Teil 3″  [“In the Beginning…,  Part 3.”].
