“Widespread Sexual Abuse Within Catholic Church… Could It Ever Be Stopped?” is the title of a new StandingWatch program, presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:
Many priests, bishops and cardinals within the Vatican seem to be collaborating with Italian politicians, the judiciary and the mass media in their attempt to ignore and cover up the terrible sexual abuse of children. Pope Francis has vowed to put an end to this, calling those predators “tools of Satan” who are to face the “wrath of God,” but even if he was serious, could he succeed against the powerful resistance of “those with most to lose”? The record of mounting despicable sexual abuse and destruction of documents by high-ranking Catholic priests all over the world suggests otherwise.
“Wann, wie und worüber sollten wir zornig sein?” is the title of this Sabbath’s new German sermon, presented by Norbert Link. Title in English: “When, How and About What Should We be Angry?”
A new StandingWatch Talking Points, presented by Pastor Rene Messier, reviews our booklet, “Sickness and Health, What the Bible Tells Us.”
“What Kind of Accent Do We Have?” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Robb Harris, is now posted.
“Is It Worth It?” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Eric Rank, is now posted. Here is a summary:
Christianity takes work and personal sacrifice. The question of whether the work and sacrifice is worth the effort is a question most often presented to those who are beginning the Christian journey. However, it is also important to reaffirm our commitment at every point along the way, long after we begin.
“How to Keep the Sabbath,” is our newest booklet. Written by Evangelist Norbert Link, this booklet is now posted and, following printing, will be available upon request.
